We design our own gas turbines, turboprops, firmware and flight control laws. The aircraft we want cannot be assembled from parts that exist today.

01 Embedded Systems Lead
Own the electronics and firmware that keep our engines and aircraft alive, starting with the engine control unit for our turboprop and then extending to the flight controller. You will work directly with the Chief Engineer, set the architecture, and build the team that delivers it.
What you'll do
Engine control unit
- Lead architecture and development of the turboprop engine control unit
- Define sensor, actuator and power interfaces with the propulsion team
- Implement start, fuel, protection and fault-handling logic in real-time firmware
Flight controller
- Kick off flight controller hardware and software architecture
- Define redundancy, timing and safety strategy for flight-critical electronics
Hardware and firmware
- Own schematic and PCB reviews, component selection and bring-up
- Set firmware standards for RTOS, drivers, communication buses and diagnostics
Integration and testing
- Build HIL and bench test setups to validate hardware and firmware
- Support engine test runs and aircraft integration with the test team
Team building
- Hire and lead controls, embedded and PCB engineers within 3 to 6 months
- Set engineering processes, reviews and documentation practices for the team
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Aerospace Engineering
- Significant experience in embedded systems for safety-critical or real-time applications (aerospace, automotive, defence, robotics)
- Hands-on experience taking control electronics from schematic to flight or field deployment
- Strong embedded C/C++, RTOS, ARM/DSP microcontrollers and common buses (CAN, SPI, UART, Ethernet)
- Experience with sensor signal conditioning, actuator drivers and power electronics
- Experience leading engineers or owning a subsystem end to end
Bonus: FADEC or engine control experience, flight controller development, FPGA, or familiarity with DO-178C / DO-254.

02 Senior Controls Engineer
Design the flight control laws that make our aircraft fly, including thrust and pitch control of the propulsion units. You will work closely with the embedded systems team to take control laws from model to real hardware.
What you'll do
Control law design
- Design and tune flight control laws across the full VTOL flight envelope
- Develop thrust and pitch control strategies for the propulsion units
Modelling and simulation
- Build aircraft and propulsion dynamics models for control design
- Run simulations to assess stability, robustness and handling qualities
Deployment
- Deploy control laws on embedded flight and propulsion hardware
- Work with embedded engineers on code generation, timing and interfaces
Testing and validation
- Validate control laws through SIL, HIL, test-stand and flight testing
- Analyse test data and iterate models and gains to match reality
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineering
- Strong background in flight dynamics and classical and modern control
- Proven experience deploying control laws on real-world hardware, not only in simulation
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design workflows
- Experience with system identification and test-data-driven tuning
Bonus: VTOL, rotorcraft or multirotor control experience, propulsion or engine control, auto-code generation, or flight test experience.

03 Testing & Integration Lead
Lead testing of our turbojet and turboprop engines first, then play a central role in bringing the aircraft together. You will design and build the test infrastructure, run the campaigns, and build the team that makes it happen.
What you'll do
Engine testing
- Lead turbojet and turboprop test campaigns from planning to data review
- Define test procedures, safety protocols and go/no-go criteria
Test infrastructure
- Design and fabricate test stands, rigs and fixtures
- Specify and set up DAQ, instrumentation and sensor systems
- Build electromechanical setups for loads, fuel, power and actuation
Aircraft integration
- Plan and lead integration of propulsion, avionics and structures
- Run ground tests and support the path to first flight
Team building
- Hire and lead manufacturing engineers and technicians within 3 to 6 months
- Set up workshop practices, tooling and test-cell safety culture
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- Hands-on experience running engine, propulsion or other high-energy test campaigns
- Strong electromechanical background and experience with DAQ and instrumentation
- Experience designing and fabricating test setups from concept to commissioning
- Comfortable on the shop floor, leading technicians and making safety calls
Bonus: Gas turbine testing, aircraft or vehicle integration, LabVIEW or Python test automation, or experience setting up a test facility from scratch.

04 Gas Turbine Lead
Lead development of our in-house engines, from design and analysis through manufacturing and test. You will also build the in-house tools that let us run design, analysis and test cycles faster than anyone else.
What you'll do
Engine design
- Lead design of gas turbine engines and their key components
- Own 3D design of compressors, combustors, turbines and flow paths
Analysis
- Run CFD and performance analysis to drive design decisions
- Define cycle, component targets and design margins
Manufacturing and testing
- Take designs through manufacturing with in-house teams and suppliers
- Plan and support engine testing with the test team, and close the loop on data
Rapid iteration tools
- Lead development of in-house tools for fast design, analysis and test cycles
- Automate workflows that connect CAD, CFD, performance and test data
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's (PhD a plus) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Significant experience in gas turbine or turbomachinery development
- Strong 3D design skills and hands-on CFD analysis experience
- Strong hands-on experience in engine testing and manufacturing
- Ability to lead a technical program and make design trade-offs under uncertainty
Bonus: Small gas turbine, turbojet or turboprop development, additive manufacturing of hot-section parts, or building engineering software tools (Python or similar).
